Blogging before the internet. Hmm. Sitting down to clip beautiful pictures from old magazines and catalogs and pasting them in a blank sketch book with stickers, ribbon and snippets of scrap paper. Then, to fill in the remaining space with thoughts, recipes, memories, and just all the nice things that would otherwise be forgotten. Enjoyable? You bet. It is great to have a tangible object of such treasured memories to look back through.
We got rid of the internet about a month ago. We figured we didn't use our computer enough to justify the cost of the internet. Therefore, I've had more time for old fashioned ''blogging''. The sketch book I'm currently filling up I've had since 2011! It has unfortunately been neglected in the last four years!
It is fun to pretty up the pages and write about the day, and whatever is on my mind. Plus, if I make something new for dinner that Joe really likes, I write it in my scrap book for future reference.
It is fun and relaxing. I usually do it at night after I tuck Big Boy in. Or sometimes in the morning before he gets up. I got the idea from my Mom. She had a small plastic bin that fit her book, paper, and accessories. You should give it a whirl!
Liam is doing well. He has surgery scheduled for next week to put his intestine back together so he can eat. Hopefully he can come home in a couple months!
*He Smiled At Me!!!* Friday I picked him up and after studying my face he smiled at me! So precious!
He weighs 7lbs and 4z now.
Thank you all for prayers!
